Worship Location
Church of the Harvest ARP meets at 10:00 AM at the Toano Womans Club (7965, Richmond Road, Toano VA).
Worship is "active communion with God in which believers by grace and through faith focus their heart's affection and mind's attention on humbly glorifying God in response to his character, his acts, his Word." It is the central act that defines the Body of Christ and a direct expression of our ultimate purpose — to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.
Jesus came to seek and to save the lost, therefore reaching out to non-believers with the gospel and incorporating them into the Body of Christ is at the heart of the church's purpose. God has given the church the resources and responsibility to proclaim the gospel, and expand the kingdom here and around the world. The church is a witness both as a congregation through her worship and congregational life, and as individuals in public and private life. (Acts 1:8, 1 Peter 3:15-16, Matthew 9:37-38)
The Christian life is not lived in isolation but in the context of a faith community that shares a common participation in the life of God. God is building His church as a community of believers in which people are enfolded into the body of Christ and grow through teaching, equipping, and shepherding.
