Leadership

Pastor Ken Bush has recently transferred into the Virginia Presbytery of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church and his call to be the organizing pastor of Church of the Harvest was approved.  Ken is joined in this team effort by his wife Kathy.

Prior to this Ken was a retired Teaching Elder of the Presbyterian Church in America where he served as a ruling elder and the associate pastor of a newly organized church in Pennsylvania. He then served as an Army chaplain and retired in 2014 after a 35-year career at the rank of Colonel. Pastor Ken is a 1978 Phi Beta Kappa and Distinguished Military Graduate of the Pennsylvania State University with a BA in History. He also holds a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies, and Master of Divinity degree with High Honors from Biblical Theological Seminary (now Missio); a Master of Theology degree in ethics with a minor in historical studies from Duke University; a Master of Strategic Studies from the US Army War College; and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Reformed Theological Seminary.  He is passionate about exegetical preaching, discipleship, church planting and building a deep community of believers committed to side-by-side ministry.

Church of the Harvest is a mission work of the Virginia Presbytery of the ARP and Redeemer Church of Blacksburg. The Redeemer Session (minister and elders) serve as the “Borrowed Session” of the Church of the Harvest.
